Solar Dehydrators and Ovens

In coordination with Local Lawton (our Transition Town), please join us at Lewis Park—1/2 mile south of downtown Lawton on M-40, next Sunday at 3pm for a discussion of solar dehydrators, solar ovens, and an informal potluck meal. Bring whatever you like, it doesn’t have to be cooked by the sun!. We’ll talk about ways of preserving the harvest and demonstrate how a simple homemade dehydrator works.For the potluck, please bring your own plate, silverware and cup, we will provide some drinks.

For anyone who is interested, PJ can lead a tour of his 3+ acre forest garden afterward, it’s only about 1 mile away. If you want to see the garden, please wear sturdy shoes and preferably long pants, as the back 2 acres feature many dewberry brambles which can scratch up bare skin with their tiny thorns.
